The Wild Atlantic Way

Wild Atlantic Way walking for women

The Wild Atlantic Way runs the length of Ireland's west coast, from Donegal in the north to West Cork in the south. It's one of the great coastal journeys in the world — and it's best experienced on foot.

Why walk it with a small group of women?

Plenty of women want to walk Ireland's Atlantic coast but don't want to plan routes, book accommodation, arrange luggage transfers or drive narrow peninsula roads. Others want company on the trail without a coach-tour atmosphere. A small, fully hosted group of women solves both.

On The Atlantic Edit you have your own room, experienced local walking support, private transport and exceptional Irish food — and the freedom to be part of the group without participating in every minute of it.

Where we walk

Our 2027 journey focuses on the Beara Peninsula in the south-west, one of the quietest and most dramatic stretches of the Wild Atlantic Way. Read more about walking the Beara Peninsula.

How demanding is it?

This is real walking — approximately 14–16km on each main walking day, over terrain that can be rough and weather that changes quickly. You should be a regular walker. See our honest guide to the fitness level you really need.
