Cork & Kerry, Ireland
A Beara Peninsula walking holiday
The Beara Peninsula stretches into the Atlantic between Bantry Bay and the Kenmare River, shared by counties Cork and Kerry. It's remote, mountainous and far quieter than its famous neighbour, the Ring of Kerry.
The Beara Way
The Beara Way is a long-distance waymarked trail around the peninsula, crossing mountain passes, bog roads and coastal paths. We walk selected sections with experienced local walking support.
Walking with respect
Beara can be remote and rough underfoot, and Atlantic weather changes fast. That's what keeps it wild — and why we plan every day carefully.
